Hans Rosling, założyciel popularnej fundacji Gapminder - jednej z inspiracji do stworzenia naszego projektu Kopernik 4 MDG, w jednym ze swoich wykładów (dostępnych na YouTube oraz na TED.com) poruszył temat Milenijnych Celów Rozwoju. W filmie powyżej Szwed porusza głównie temat ekstremalnie biednych, oraz śmiertelności dzieci.

Hans Rosling, founder of the grand foundation Gapminder - on of the main inspirations to start our Kopernik 4 MDG project, in one of his lectures (available to watch on the platforms of YouTube and TED.com) talked about the UN's Millennium Development Goals. On the film above, the Swedish comes up with the topic of extreme poverty and (reducing) child mortality.

Wywiad z gazetą ABC / ABC Interview

Nasze działania w kierunku uświadamiania ludzi o problemach na świecie nie idą na marne! Redakcja regionalnej gazety ABC, działającej w województwie wielkopolskim, zainteresowała się naszym projektem Kopernik 4 MDG. Jeden z redaktorów gazety przybył razem z fotografem do naszej szkoły, by zadać nam kilka pytań, oraz porobić wspólne zdjęcia. W wywiadzie uczestniczyli także nasi nauczyciele-opiekunowie, którzy nas bardzo wspierali w trakcie odpowiadania na pytania. Takie rzeczy bardzo nas dopingują!!

We're doing everything we can to make people get know as many facts as possible about the problems around the world - especially in the extremely poor regions. The moment we realized we're not invisible was one of the biggest pleasures for us. The regional newspaper - ABC, got interested in our Kopernik 4 MDG project. One of the main ABC journalists -  - came to our school with the photographer to ask some questions and take a couple of group photos. Our supporting geography teachers also supported us during answering the questions. We feel pretty excited!

MDG #2 - pokaz prezentacji / MDG #2 - presentation show

We wtorek - 3 marca - w końcu udało nam się pokazać klasie 2B prezentację dotyczącą drugiego Milenijnego Celu Rozwoju - Zapewnienie powszechnego nauczania na poziomie podstawowym. Kaja i Kasia przybliżyły uczniom fakty i statystyki dotyczące edukacji w krajach ekstremalnie ubogich i nierozwiniętych - bądź rozwijających się. Niektóre z informacji okazały się wręcz wstrząsające, nie tylko dla uczniów, ale nawet dla nauczycieli. Na prezentacji obecna była również Marina, która przybyła do naszej szkoły z Hiszpanii w ramach projektu Erasmus. Jako Kopernik 4 MDG postanowiliśmy ją zaprosić na naszą prezentację, co (mamy nadzieję) przyjęła z ogromną radością. Trzeci Milenijny Cel Rozwoju zostanie przygotowany we współpracy z grupą z Erasmusa, a także z Mariną, która jest bardzo chętna się zaangażować i pomóc przy naszym projekcie.

Po krótkiej prezentacji Kasia i Kaja zorganizowały mały quiz dotyczący Milenijnych Celów Rozwoju (przewidywane były małe nagrody), a także poczęstunek - przysłowiową żywność za "$1.25".

On the previous Thursday - March 3 - we finally managed to show our presentation to the class of 2B. The presentation was about Millennium Development Goal #2 - To achieve universal primary education. Kaja and Kasia explained and presented some facts but also statistics which would help to get to know more about education issues in countries which are extremely poor and not really developed - but also in countries during the process of development. A part of the information turned out to be even shocking, not only for the students, but for teachers as well. During the presentation we had a special guest, Marina, Spanish girl who came to our school so as to help us with the Erasmus project. As Kopernik 4 MDG we decided to invite her to our presentation and we hope she enjoyed that. The Millennium Development Goal #3 is about to be prepared in cooperation with Erasmus project group but with Marina as well. She is very happy to join our project and support us in our "goals".

After the short presentation Kasia and Kaja organized a little quiz "What do you know about MDGs?" (students could win some small awards), but also a little meal "for $1.25" - to show the reality of extremely poor countries.

W przygotowaniu MDG #3 / Preparing MDG #3 presentation

Już jutro (3 marca) zaprezentujemy klasie 2B prezentacją dotyczącą drugiego Milenijnego Celu Rozwoju. Pierwotnie prezentacja miała być wyświetlona na początku lutego, lecz z powodu choroby uczestniczek oraz ferii zimowych, prezentacja musiała zostać przesunięta.

Lecz nie pozostajemy bezczynni! Już za dwa tygodnie Asia i Adrianna pokażą prezentację o trzecim Milenijnym Celu Rozwoju. Powyższe zdjęcia prezentują proces jej tworzenia.

Tomorrow (March 3) we're about to show an Millennium Development Goag #2 presentation to the class of 2B. Firstly we planned to have this at the beginning of February, but because of the sickness of the girls and two-week-winter-break, we had to postpone the presentation.

But we're still in action! In next two weeks Asia and Adrianna are going to show the presentation about MDG #3. The photos above are showing the process of making this presentation.
