WHAT ARE THE MDGs? / CZYM SĄ MILENIJNE CELE ROZWOJU?

Jako uczniowie Kopernika chcemy zbadać wiedzę uczniów, nauczycieli, a także rodziców na temat Milenijnych Celów Rozwoju – a co za tym idzie, jaka jest sytuacja ludności w ww. najbiedniejszych regionach na świecie. W tym celu postanowiliśmy rozpocząć projekt pt. KOPERNIK 4 MDG, żeby zwiększyć świadomość uczniów naszego liceum na temat problemów, z jakimi walczą ludzie na całym świecie. Od ekstremalnej biedy, przez brak edukacji, aż po śmiercionośne choroby i brak ekologii w środowisku.

Pomysł na nasze przedsięwzięcie pojawił się na lekcjach geografii, na których rozmawialiśmy na temat ubóstwa na świecie, zróżnicowania kulturowego, czy też o zmianach klimatu. W ramach zajęć przeglądaliśmy dane z Gapminder'a i w ten sposób dowiedzieliśmy się o projekcie Milenijnych Celów Rozwoju wprowadzonym przez ONZ. Wraz z naszymi nauczycielami uznaliśmy, że warto sprawdzić jaką wiedzę o społeczeństwie posiadają nasi rówieśnicy, nauczyciele i rodzice.

Pierwszym etapem KOPERNIK 4 MDG (grudzień 2014) będzie przeprowadzenie ankiety dotyczącej podstawowych zagadnień z zakresu MDG (edukacja, środowisko), w której wezmą udział uczniowie, nauczyciele oraz rodzice. Następnym krokiem (styczeń/luty 2015) będzie prezentacja dotycząca każdego z MDG. Projekt planowo ma zostać zakończony w maju/czerwcu 2015 roku.

UPDATE (22.03) - WYNIKI ANKIETY

Na grupę KOPERNIK 4 MDG składa się 16 uczniów z klas programu dwujęzycznego oraz Matury Międzynarodowej, a także nauczyciele nadzorujący: p. Bartłomiej Kopaczyński oraz p. Marlena Kurowska.

As students of Kopernik we want to examine the knowledge of students, teachers, and parents about the Millennium Development Goals - and thus, what is the situation of population in the poorest regions of the world. For this purpose, we decided to start a project called KOPERNIK 4 MDG, to increase awareness of our high school peers about the problems that affect people all over the world. From extreme poverty, the lack of education, to the deadly diseases and the lack of environmental ecology. 

The idea for the project arose during geography lessons, where we talked about world poverty, cultural diversity, or climate changes. During the classes we looked through data from Gapminderand and that's how we learned about the Millennium Development Goals project implemented by the UN. In agreement with aur supervisors we decided that it's worth checking the knowledge about the society in our school community. 

The first stage of the KOPERNIK 4 MDG (December 2014) will be conducting a survey about the basic issues of the MDGs (education, environment), with the participation of students, teachers and parents. The next step (January / February 2015) will be a presentation of each of the goals. The project is scheduled to be completed between May and June of 2015.

Our group consists of 16 students from the bilingual class and International Baccalaureate, as well as supervising teachers: Mr. Bartłomiej Kopaczyński and Mrs. Marlena Kurowska.
